About Trabud
Trabud is a free research site for tracking what corporate insiders buy and sell in their own companies, built directly on the filings they make with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
What Trabud does
When an officer, director, or 10%+ owner trades their company's stock, they must disclose it on SEC Form 4. Those disclosures are public but scattered across thousands of individual filings. Trabud collects the purchases and sales from every Form 4 since January 2018 and organizes them so you can see, in one place, who is buying and who is selling:
- Company pages, insider pages, and sector pages with each one's full filing history
- a screener for filtering every filing by company, insider, role, size, and date
- a weekly digest of the largest purchases and sales, also available as an RSS feed
- an AI agent that answers questions about insider trades in plain English
Independence and funding
Trabud is independent. It is not affiliated with the SEC or with any company, broker, or fund whose trades appear on the site. It is currently free to use and carries no advertising, and no one pays to appear on — or to be left off — any page: the data pages are generated from the filings under published rules.
Standards behind the data
- Primary sources only. Every transaction comes from an SEC filing, and the company, insider, and sector pages and the screener link each one to the filing on SEC.gov so you can check it.
- Published rules. What counts as a trade, how values are computed, and which filings are filtered out are all stated in the methodology.
- Automation disclosed. The data pages are compiled automatically, and the one place an AI model writes text — the weekly digest summary — is labelled where it appears.
- Corrections. Report an error to info@trabud.com with the ticker and the SEC filing link, and it is fixed at the source.
Not investment advice
Trabud reports what insiders filed and explains how to read it. It does not give personalized investment advice, recommend securities, or execute trades. Insider buying and selling is one input among many, and no pattern of insider activity guarantees future returns.
